⁴⁷ So Aaron took it as Moses said, and ran to the people. The disease had already come upon them. He put on the special perfume and paid for the sin of the people. ⁴⁸ He stood between the dead and the living, and the disease was stopped. ⁴⁹ But 14,700 people died by the disease, as well as those who died because of Korah.
